Awards Ceremony

Winners of CUEBiC and the 3P Business Creation Competition will be announced at this event in May 2006. CUEBiC winners selected by judges will be given an opportunity to make their pitch for investment funding to an impressive panel of business angels live on stage.

Where Angels Dare 2005

In May 2005, we introduced ‘Where Angels Dare’ at the annual award ceremony, where the three winners of £50K Business Creation Competition were awarded with an opportunity to make their pitch for investment funding to an impressive panel of business angels, live on stage. The esteemed group of angels includes David Cleevely, Sherry Coutu, Hermann Hauser, Andy Richards, Robert Sansom, Hugh Parnell representing GEIF and Boyd Mulvey representing Create Partners. BBC´s Dragon´s Den star and Coventry Angels co-founder Doug Richard was a lively addition as the coordinator to the panel onstage. Excitement and tension ran high as each winning team was put on the spot to answer tough questions from the angels in their bid to receive funding. In the exciting bout of negotiations, Boyd Mulvey of Create Partners led the angels in reaching an investment deal of £150,000 with EnvAl, the double-winner for both £50K and 3P competitions.
