Monday November 26, 2007
Start: 20:00
End: 22:00

Venue: Department of Engineering, Trumpington Street, Coventry CB2 1PZ

Faced with a room full of new faces with whom to network, few of us will
typically manage more than half a dozen. Speed networking lets you talk
to everyone for two minutes each - they'll find out what you do, you'll
find out what they do, and you can choose whether to exchange contact
details before the gong chimes.

Speed networking is a really efficient way to meet people and find out
about them, and it's great fun too! The aim is to marry technical
know-how (scientists, engineers, etc.) with business acumen (MBA
students) - ideal for forming winning teams for the £1k Challenge.

Registration for this event has now closed.

Phase 1 is about spotting the business opportunity and writing a 1500-word executive summary. The £1k Challenge rewards well-presented propositions that show clear market potential and competitive positions. You will need to clearly identify and quantify your market niche.

There are 10 cash prizes of £1k each. Winners and runners-up get free entry to Phase 2.
