Sayehfa

Each August piles of Mangos rot in the hot, Senegalese sun as women stuggle to sell them from the sides of motoways. Then, pediatic intake of vitamin A nosedives. But Seyehfa's solar drying system can organically preserve the leftover harvest for both domestic consumption and exploding European demand. Recycled from bottles and bags, the system sets a precedent for how truly appropriate, high quality products can be produced in Senegal, for Senegal, without further deforestation. Using for-profit tactics for non-profit reasons, the goal isn't merely to sell mango dryiers - its to produce dried mango sellers.
