£100 for 100 words!

Would you like to win £100 for 100 words? CU Entrepreneurs has 20 cash prizes of £100 to give away, each for a summary of a business idea of not more than 100 words. The challenge is to condense what you want to say and get all the major points across in a single paragraph.

The £100 Challenge is what you make of it - the very start of something big, or a quick way to pocket £100. Now, you can choose for you entry to go forwards into the UUNI Global Ideas Challenge for the chance to win £20 000!

Ultimately, CU Entrepreneurs is the way to make your ideas happen. Since 1999 we have awarded over £320,000 in grants to 41 business ideas, which are now collectively valued at over £42 million.

We have now extended our deadline by one week to 23:59, Monday 29 October, in light of requests from our members.

Terms and conditions may be found in the Competitions Handbook.

Please submit your idea online: click here.

A note about confidentiality:
A few entrants have been concerned that their ideas will be "stolen" as a result of entering the £100 Challenge. To avoid this, we advise that you submit a public summary describing:

  • the "what" (what role it fills)
  • the "why" (why people will want it)
  • but NOT the "how" (how it works or how someone could duplicate it).

In Phases 1 and 2 of the Challenge, CU Entrepreneurs will take measures to protect the confidentiality of your entries. All judges and entrants will be required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement. Failure to comply will lead to prosecution.
